An illustrated children's story featuring cartoon characters Amygdala-Alarmina and Sniffy the Nose explaining the A04 research project. The story shows how the amygdala (represented as a pink brain character with an alarm) and the olfactory system (represented as a friendly nose character) work together to detect threat-related chemical signals from angry people's sweat. The illustrations demonstrate the experimental process including anger induction through video games and boxing, sweat collection and freezing, MRI brain imaging, and testing participants' responses to anger-related body odors during peripersonal space violations. |
